Remember Meatballs?! Join Action Against Hunger for a screening and cast reunion of the Canadian cult film

1 of 1

In 1979, a low-budget Canadian film starring Bill Murray and a host of up-and-coming Canadian actors transformed into an unforgettable cult classic. Who could forget that absurdly charming sleeper hit, Meatballs? Just in time for the movie’s 35th anniversary, indulge your appetite for nostalgia and help a great cause.

Action Against Hunger Canada is bringing together an intimate, one-time reunion of some of the movie’s most memorable actors and friends. All funds raised go directly to Action Against Hunger – a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger around the world.

Film Screening & Celeb Reunion

Join us for a screening of the film, plus a lively panel discussion where the movie’s stars will walk down memory lane and share stories of behind-the-scenes hi-jinx.

Saturday Night Live and SCTV alumnus and accomplished Canadian actress Robin Duke will lead a panel discussion featuring:

  • Dan Goldberg, writer and producer of Meatballs; produced hit movies like The Hangover and Due Date.
  • Don Carmody, production executive of Meatballs; produced over 100 feature films include Oscar and Golden Globe winner Chicago.
  • Harvey Atkin, played camp director Morty in Meatballs; cast member on hit TV shows including Cagney & Lacey and Law & Order; appeared in over 75 films.
  • Chris Makepeace, played young underdog Rudy in Meatballs; appeared in a variety of TV shows and movies including My Bodyguard.
  • Kristine DeBell, played A.L. in Meatballs; she has since starred in many TV films and the Young & the Restless.
  • Robert Wertheimer, production assistant on Meatballs; now a successful film and television producer.
  • Len Blum, writer of Meatballs; won the Genie Award for best original screenplay for Meatballs.
